Takbir Fatima is the founder and Director of DesignAware. She has lived, worked, studied and taught in Al-Khobar, dubai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, and London. Takbir has a BArch from CSIIT School of Architecture & Planning, Secunderabad, and an MArch (Architecture + Urbanism) from the Design Research Lab at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. She is a licensed architect registered with the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.

Takbir is passionate about design research, digital prototyping and computation. She aims to work on the application of new technologies in socially relevant projects. takbir is an Adjunct Faculty at CEPT university and boston architectural college.

Takbir has been included in the book 100 women: Architects in Practice published by RIBA in 2024. She was named Emerging Architect of the Year 2016 by NDTV Design & Architecture Awards and Telangana Young Architect 2016 by the Indian Institute of Architects.

Abeer Fatima is the Lead Interior Designer at DesignAware and director of designaware dxb. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from the Raffles College of Design & Commerce. She has lived, worked and studied in Al-Khobar, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. Abeer’s main areas of interest are accessible design and wearables.

Abeer has been included in IGen50 under 40 2024, a list of exceptional emerging designers and architects by Architect and Interiors India.

abeer is also ceo and founder of the statement art and lifestyle accessories brand, eclipsE, and has taught at Hamstech College of Creative Education and Boston architectural college.

Waqqas Mirza is a mechanical engineer and design collaborator at DesignAware, whose work integrates technical expertise with creative innovation. With a strong background in mechanical systems and engineering solutions, he has developed a career grounded in precision, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

he contributes Technical expertise to design projects that merge engineering with architecture, fabrication, and sustainability. His work explores how fabrication, material research, and mechanical principles can be leveraged to create forward-thinking design outcomes.

Waqqas’s experience spans across Saudi Arabia, where he has applied engineering tools and processes to deliver efficient, practical, and innovative solutions.

KIRTI JANGRA is an Interior Designer, trained at CEPT University, Ahmedabad. She has over two years of experience working as an interior designer before starting her own venture, which explores bold and experimental design with a focus on resin-based products. She loves working hands-on, exploring various materials, and building anything that involves problem-solving and creating with her own hands. A strong believer in maximalism, she is passionate about creating designs that integrate art with functionality.
