DesignAware Associate Architect Asna Moazzam was invited to give a talk at Alserkal Avenue, Dubai. She spoke about the vernacular technique of Arish, ie date palm leaf architecture and how it can be adapted to contemporary built form. The event also featured live weaving by Bedouin craftswoman Mama Fatima from Sougha.
