$@asna.moazzam spent six months roaming around the UAE desert, learning about Arish (date palm midrib) architecture and meeting with Bedouin craftswomen who who hold the technical expertise in the disappearing traditional craft of building with Arish. For @dubaidesignweek 2018, we dove deeper into where date palms go after they die, and invited indigenous craftswomen from @sougha__ to co-teach a @fractalsworkshop with @takbirfatima, the first in The Digital Vernacular series.
