#LetsFLOCKtogether Learning from master craftspersons // Artisans have perfected traditional techniques in natural material passed down from master to apprentice over generations. Learning these age-old crafts directly from the experts, as well as an understanding of materiality, supply chains and material lifecycles, informs our approach to design exploration in research, pedagogy and fabrication. Working under bamboo fabricators in Vellore, students of vsparcmakes designed and built a series of pavilions during the @fractalsworkshop 15.0: ProtoFolly in 2017. The 10-day workshop resulted in 8 parametric bamboo pavilions placed in the Woodstock forest at @vellore_vit.
